Located in the Wheeler District, the project required a restaurant fit-out that translated the client’s brand into an interior focused on atmosphere, movement, and discovery. Entry is marked by a ten-foot custom pivot door that immediately orients visitors toward the bar, positioned along the storefront as the visual anchor of the space. This arrangement allows the energy of the restaurant to engage the street while using the bar itself as a threshold that buffers more intimate dining areas within. By balancing visibility and enclosure through light, material, and sequence, the project reveals how a dark, moody interior can remain both outward-facing and deeply personal.
