Project Type: Residential
Location: Nichols Hills, Oklahoma
Fitzpatrick Residence
Conditions, Decisions, and Value
A highly visible corner lot in Nichols Hills, elevated above the surrounding streets, required a residential approach that acknowledged its prominence without overexposing the home. The massing is organized to claim the corner deliberately, marked by a glazed stair and double-height dining space that signal the house’s civic edge while terraces establish a measured separation from the street. This strategy allows the residence to engage its surroundings selectively, balancing openness at the corner with privacy toward the interior of the site. By wrapping the lot with the building form, the project transforms elevation and geometry into both a public-facing presence and a protected landscape for outdoor living.
