Project Type: Hospitality, Interior Fit-Out

Location: Midtown District, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Conditions, Decisions, and Value

Located within a landmark-designated building in Midtown Oklahoma City, the project required a contemporary bakery fit-out that respected the layered history of a space long associated with food and community. New interventions were introduced with restraint, keeping built elements deliberately low to preserve the character and scale of the existing barrel-vaulted volume. This approach maintains clear sightlines and allows daylight to move uninterrupted between the expansive east and west-facing glazed ends of the space. By prioritizing light, proportion, and continuity over overt transformation, the project reveals how subtle architectural decisions can extend the life and relevance of a historic interior without diminishing its identity.
